The New Year is almost here, and I know sometimes everyone gets stuck in a rut, and believes that they truly haven't accomplished much during the year. As a red deer newborn photographer, I can get that way as well. Anyone who has worked with me, knows that I am someone who aims for only perfection.
Many times in 2017, I found myself wondering if I truly am achieving all the goals I had set for myself, and I struggled to see progression and improvement. However, never did one of my clients ever have a problem seeing my potential, my growth and my worth - so I knew that all this hard work, all these extra hours and all the late nights editing and practicing was truly worth it.
I want to share with you a little bit of me. My growth.
During this last year, I have done countless workshops (still have 3 more on docket), purchased more props than anyone should be allowed to have, upgraded my lighting, my camera, my lens and my education including courses on newborn safety. I've invested almost every dollar I made to ensure that next year, I would be able to be stronger, and more knowledgable then I ever imagined I could be.
All of this, was not possible without each and every one of you who put your trust in me to photograph your newborn, whether it was just when I was starting in my living room, or last week in my home studio.
The 2017 Wedding Season has officially come to a close for this Red Deer Photographer. This year I got to photograph some absolutely amazingly stunning brides, grooms and bridal parties..
Paige Koster Photography only takes on anywhere from 3-5 Weddings a year (depending on the size of the Wedding) to ensure a speedy turn around time, even during busy seasons like Fall!
My first wedding of the year was photographing the beautiful Landon & Elora. These two have been apart of my life for sometime now, and it was an absolute honour photographing their beautiful Summer Wedding. Although it rained for the majority of the wedding (That's super good luck right?), they made the best of it and had a wonderful Wedding. You can view some of their photos below...
My second wedding of the year happened to also be to one of my good friends, Darcia and her now Husband, Ben. They married in a beautiful Red Deer park, on a beautiful sunny day with some clouds. In a quick and fabulous ceremony, these two said "I Do". I'll let their pictures do the talking...
My third Wedding and my last Wedding of the Summer was in late August, held in Lacombe, Alberta. This beautiful bride, and her husband to be, were married on a beautiful hill just outside the brides parents home. Their backyard backed onto a trail area in Lacombe, and the city allowed use of it for the Wedding. It was stunning, unique and over looked a small lake. After the ceremony, we ventured off into the tree's to take some bridal party formals, and then headed back to the cocktail hour before these too headed off into the sunset for their delicious reception meal in Red Deer...
My first Wedding of the Fall - well September- was one of the most entertaining Weddings I have ever been apart of. See two blog posts ago to really dig in a little deeper about Spencer and Dessiray's Wedding. She was by far the most laid back Bride to be, even with her two little ones running around... Okay, well only one can run around.. Seriously this bride just had a baby and she looked FABULOUS!
My last Wedding of the year was in beautiful Canmore, Alberta. Although it snowed, and rained, and don't forget it was a tad windy - we had a wonderful time. The bride, and groom were perfect together and the bridal party was wonderful to get to know as well. We had a small change of plans, and the ceremony was held indoors at a beautiful hall in Canmore. Once it was official, we made our way through the wet snow to the famous CPR bridge in Canmore. We made it quick and headed back for some indoor images. Check out their images below.
Know someone looking for a Wedding Photographer?
Every year, right around this time, Photographers in Canada get swamped with our yearly fall family portraits. It's seriously the BEST time of the year for me, and this is because I get to see all my lovely clients and their growing families.
I wanted to take the time and share with you some of the beautiful families I had the honour of photographing this Fall Season.... Enjoy!
A few months ago I spoke to Karina in regards to booking both a Maternity and Newborn session. We met at a local shop, and I could tell instantly that she was someone with a beautiful soul. We scheduled her Maternity portraits at the beautiful Canyon Ski Resort in Red Deer and we made her amazing vision come to life. From Canyon we headed to a little bridge in a near by park for another scene for her portraits.
Little did we know that they little one was going to arrive a lot sooner than we both thought! Her darling second addition to the family surprised everyone when she came a few weeks earlier then planned. Let me tell you, she is beautiful - just like her Momma & Sister. And best of all, you can see just how much this family already loves her!
Here's a few portraits from our session.
This particular session was special to me. After working with Meghan twice during one of my Boudoir Marathons, we clicked. She is such a genuine person with such an overwhelming love for her family. We set a date to do some family portraits, the weather got to the best of us for our original session, but we rescheduled to another date that worked for the both of us.
Check out this gorgeous family below - seriously, they should be in a magazine.
We've got some serious reason to celebrate! In just a few short weeks, Kim will be expecting her 5th baby. If that isn't reason enough to jump for joy, Kim & Thierry are officially (and finally) having a little prince, after 4 princesses.
I had the honour of photographing her - and that baby bump couldn't get any cuter!
See what I'm talking about below!
A beautiful mountain adventure session.Read More
